The Land Development Services Director's Office seeks two experienced professionals to join its Project Management Team in the capacities of Non-Profit and Places of Worship Coordinator and Reston Urban Area Coordinator. Successful candidates will demonstrate outstanding communication skills, exemplary customer service skills, ability to organize and manage complex projects, and familiarity with the land development process. These positions will provide key customers with enhanced customer service in navigating the land development process. The Non-Profit and Places of Worship Coordinator and the Reston Urban Area Coordinator will serve as an additional staff resource to guide their assigned customers through entitlement, site plan review, building plan review, permitting, bond release and other related processes. They will work closely with all stakeholders involved in the process, including the customer's team, reviewers from internal and external agencies, Supervisors' offices and private citizens to facilitate efficient processing of applications, permits and other inquiries. These individuals will facilitate collaboration among the customer's team and reviewers to provide guidance, recommend processing strategies, answer questions and resolve problems to avoid unnecessary delays. The Non-Profit and Places of Worship Coordinator will liaise primarily with owners and representatives of Non-Profit organizations and places of worship located in Fairfax County. The Reston Urban Area Coordinator will provide guidance primarily to developers and their representatives of projects located in the Reston Transit Station Areas. Both positions may be assigned project management duties for areas outside their areas of focus, as needed. These positions will work closely with the LDS Project Management team in promoting project management best practices throughout LDS and our partner agencies. Both positions may be assigned to lead and/or participate in key initiatives relating to improving the land development process and/or projects and initiatives pertaining to their areas of focus.
