Vienna Oktoberfest offers many reasons to cheer and celebrate all things German – in particular beer, food, and cars.

The Vienna Business Association and Town of Vienna’s annual fall event, held from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, October 6, along historic Church Street, will feature more than 100 vendors, live entertainment on three stages, an array of multicultural food options, a variety of fun children’s activities, and a display of more than 30 German classic cars. And we haven’t even gotten to the beer yet!

Title sponsor Caboose Brewing Company will pour four beers, including its Vienna Lager and an IPA, as well as a hard cider from 10 taps. Wine and Budweiser beers also will be available for purchase. Be sure to bring a photo ID no matter what your age.

Entertainment stand-outs include the extraordinarily popular Great Zucchini and Rocknoceros on the Town Green children’s stage. Sexton’s German Band will kick off the event at the main stage/beer garden at Ayr Hill Road and Mill Street. Ocho de Bastos is back by popular demand while NOMaD, a modern country band, will take the Oktoberfest stage for the first time.

Children’s activities include Legos, face painting, inflatables, bounce houses, and games. About 20 food trucks and vendors will be on hand as will more than 30 handcrafters and more than 40 merchants.

New this year is a free shuttle service from parking at James Madison High School and the Vienna Metro North Kiss and Ride area to the festival drop-off location at Ayr Hill and Dominion. The shuttle will operate during festival hours, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Handicapped parking is available in designated spaces adjacent to the beer garden at 204 Mill Street NE. An Uber/Lyft drop-off/pick-up point also has been designated.
