You are invited to a community meeting to discuss the progress Fairfax County has made on implementing the Ad Hoc Police Practices Review Commission’s recommendations, as outlined in their Final Report to the Board of Supervisors. The Commission’s recommendations focus on communications, mental health, use of force, independent oversight, recruitment, diversity and vetting within the Fairfax County Police Department. The meeting will be hosted in a town hall format in the Fairfax County Government Center Auditorium (12000 Government Center Pkwy, Fairfax, VA 22035) on Monday, May 22, 2017 from 7:30pm to 9:00pm. This meeting will include time for comments and questions from community members. A number of public safety officials involved in improving the transparency and efficiency of the County’s Police Department will be in attendance. Other attendees will include:
