  • PHILLIPS Food for Thought

    PHILLIPS Programs for Children and Families, a nonprofit helping youth with a variety of challenges and qualities succeed, is hosting its first ever 5K to support PHILLIPS Food for Thought Program.  PHILLIPS operates four Special Education Day Schools that serve youth from throughout the region.  Over 50 percent of PHILLIPS’ students live at or below the poverty line. Food for Thought helps alleviate economic hardships by ensuring these youth have a nutritious breakfast and lunch every school day.

  • Hunter Mill Bridge Meeting

    April 16, 2018

    Join the Virginia Department of Transportation on Monday, April 16 to learn more about plans to replace the one-lane Hunter Mill Road (Route 674) bridge over Colvin Run with a two-lane bridge to reduce congestion and improve operations and safety. The existing bridge was built in 1974.
