Meet live bats, learn how these flying mammals live, and find out why they’re important to our environment. Come to “Backyard Bats Alive!” at Huntley Meadows Park on Saturday, April 15, 2017.

Folks from the Save Lucy bat campaign will be on hand from 3 to 4 p.m. to share information about bats and help the park celebrate National Bat Appreciation Day. Learn about the crucial role bats play in our ecosystem, how they’re being threatened, and what you can do to help be bat friendly. Save Lucy will be bringing some rehabilitated bats for everyone to see and photograph.

This program is designed for participants age five to adult. The cost is $8 per person.
