UPDATE 1 p.m. DC Fire and Rescue says two people were transported to a local hospital as a result of today’s fire. One was an employee who was hurt in a fall and one was a maintenance employee who was hospitalized for observation.
DC Fire and Rescue battled a two-alarm fire in a large commercial building at 4301 Connecticut Avenue NW this morning.
The fire in a boiler room on the building’s fifth floor was brought under control by late morning. More than 80 firefighters were on the scene. Team were rotated through the building to give them time to refill their air bottles.
No injuries were reported. There was no immediate word on the cause of the blaze.
