Attempted Malicious Wounding *ARREST – On September 8, the accused, identified as Jeanne Brooks BASS, who was sought in connection to the domestic incident that reportedly occurred at a residence located in the 14100 block of Bay Vista Dr. in Woodbridge on August 26, was arrested.

  • Attempted Malicious Wounding [Previously Released] – On August 26 at 2:13PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14100 block of Bay Vista Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic with weapons. The victim, a 48-year-old man, reported to police that he and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused threw objects at the victim before grabbing a knife and attempting to stab him. The parties eventually separated, and the victim contacted police. Prior to officers arriving at the home, the accused took the knife and fled the area on foot. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the suspect, identified as Jeanne Brooks BASS. Attempts to locate the suspect have been unsuccessful.
INCIDENTS
Armed Robbery – On September 10 at 1:06AM, officers responded to the 17100 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 42-year-old man, reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he was approached and assaulted by two unknown men. During the encounter, one of the men brandished a firearm and demanded the victim’s money. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money from the victim before fleeing in a white 4-door sedan occupied by a third suspect acting as the driver. The victim was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. The victim was unable to describe the assailants.
Attempted Commercial Burglary – On September 9 at 9:26AM, officers responded to the Locust Shade Park Administrative Building located at 4701 Locust Shade Dr in Triangle (22172) to investigate an attempted burglary. Staff reported to police that at approximately 6:45AM, an alarm was activated near the office area of the building. Later in the day, staff observed a shattered and damaged window. Staff then contacted police. No entry is believed to have been made into the building and no property was reported missing.
ARRESTS
​Rape Investigation – On September 9 at 2:06PM, detectives with the Special Victims Unit began an investigation into a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred in the Bristow (20136) area of Prince William County the evening prior. The victim, a 16-year-old female juvenile, reported to police that she was walking with a male juvenile acquaintance when, at one point, he held her down and sexually assaulted her. The incident was eventually reported to police prompting the investigation. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as a 16-year-old male juvenile, was arrested.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On September 9 at 6:30PM, officers responded to the 13100 block of Opal Ln in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic. Officers determined that the incident was verbal in nature and advised the involved parties to separate. As officers were attempting to defuse the situation, one of the parties, identified as the accused, pushed past officers and was detained. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Caleb Nathaniel MANZANARES, was arrested.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On September 4 at 12:47PM, officers responded to the Walmart located at 14000 Worth Ave in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a shoplifting. Officers attempted to detain the accused for taking merchandise when she refused to cooperate with commands and became combative. During the encounter, the accused kicked two officers and attempted to bite on of the officer’s arm. After a brief struggle, the accused was detained. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Crystal Ann BURRELL, was arrested.
