Arrest Made in a Homicide: 4300 Block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest


Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch announced an arrest has been made in a homicide that occurred on Sunday, February 24, 2019, in the 4300 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest.

At approximately 1:25 am, members of the Fourth District responded to the listed location for the report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers learned a shooting had taken place. Two victims were seeking treatment at a local hospital for life threatening gunshot wounds. After all life-saving efforts failed, one of the victims was pronounced dead.

The decedent has been identified as 30-year-old David Elijah Brandon, of Burtonsville, MD.

On Wednesday, July 17, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 31-year-old Brandon Randall, of Churchton, MD., was arrested by members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF) and was transported to the Homicide Branch where he was charged with First Degree Murder while Armed.
