As detectives continue to investigate this morning’s shooting, the victim has been identified as Miguel Angel Leiva Hernandez, 30, of Chantilly. His next of kin have been notified.

Homicide Investigation Underway after Man Shot in Chantilly
Sully Police District – A Manassas man is facing multiple charges after an early morning shooting left one man dead. The shooting happened in the 14500 block of Lee Jackson Memorial Highway this morning around 1:30. When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot in the parking lot. He was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. Two other victims, who were not shot, were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.
The suspect, 51-year-old Steven A. Green, waited for police to arrive. He has been charged with murder, malicious wounding, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Green was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.
A firearm, believed to be involved, was recovered when Green was arrested. Detectives are continuing their investigation into the events leading up to the shooting. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will be conducting an autopsy. The identity of the victim will be released pending next of kin notification.
