Elderly man missing from Falls Church

Tam Nguyen has been found and is safe, Virginia State Police said without providing any additional details.

Tam Nguyen, 75, was dropped off by a taxi in Burke, Fairfax County, at the intersection of New Guinea Road and Sideburn Road. Fairfax County Police Department is assisting, but if anyone sees this gentleman, please call police immediately. Mr. Nguyen has Alzheimer’s, is without his medication, and left his family’s home in the City of Falls Church at 6pm on Tuesday (yesterday). His vehicle has been towed. He is now believed to be on foot.

City of Falls Church Police need the public’s help in looking for Tam Nguyen, a 73 year old resident of Florida. He was visiting family in the 300 block of James Street, Falls Church, when he went missing around 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30. Nguyen is without his Alzheimer’s medication and drove away in a beige or gold 2005 Toyota Sienna minivan with Virginia tags.

He is possibly heading back to Florida. He was wearing a jacket and blue jeans at the time of his disappearance.
