Citizen Fire And Rescue Academy Participants Fight Fire

News release from Fairfax County Fire and Rescue

Another fun night for the Citizen Fire and Rescue Academy (CFRA) participants recently. The class got to put on firefighter gear and experience extinguishing a fire. To top it off they rode in a fire truck, with lights flashing and sirens sounding, and “responded” to the fire.

Participants also got to go up 100 feet in Tower 440, Fairfax Center, to get a bird’s eye view of the academy and Fairfax County! The class also experienced how to forcibly open a door.

Thursday night will mark the last class for the spring CFRA session. Participants will be treated to a fire house dinner at Fire Station 40, Fairfax Center, along with a graduation ceremony!
