Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) Offense: 2900 block of 14th Street, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Sunday, January 20, 2019, in the 2900 block of 14th Street, Northwest.

At approximately 12:50 am, the suspect and the victim were involved in a verbal altercation at the listed location. During the altercation, the suspect brandished a knife and cut the victim causing a laceration. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

On Tuesday, May 21, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 52 year-old Denise Grant, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
