BURGLARY: 8400 block of Cherry Valley Lane, 03/08/19, 6:39 p.m. Homeowners found their basement window broken and personal items missing from the home.

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 5824 Richmond Highway (Boost Mobile), 03/09/19 7:30 a.m. A man with a gun entered Boost Mobile taking money and merchandise before running away. The man is described as black, in his 20s, 5’10” to 6’2”, skinny, wearing a dark jacket over a hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans and boots.

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY/ASSAULT: 8558 Lee Highway (La Choza Grill), 03/10/19, 4:09 a.m. Two men were assaulted by two other men while standing in the parking lot. The suspects took personal items from the men before running away. The suspects are described as young white men, wearing green long-sleeved shirts and winter hats.

MASON DISTRICT STATION

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY/ASSAULT: 6000 block of Argyle Drive, 03/08/19, 9:13 p.m. A man was assaulted by three teenagers who tried to remove money from his pockets before running away. The three boys are described as white, 16 to 18 years old, wearing light-colored clothing.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 7210 Columbia Pike (Subway), 03/10/19, 12:34 p.m. The manager of Subway found the store in disarray and money missing when they came in to open the restaurant. The individuals responsible for the theft are of an unknown gender, wearing gloves, dark hooded sweatshirts and dark pants.

ROBBERY: 3000 block of Crane Drive, 03/09/19, 10:58 p.m. A man entered a home implying he had a gun and stole personal property before running away. The man is described as 16 to 19 years old, unknown race, 5’11” to 6’ and wearing dark clothing.

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY/UNLAWFUL ENTRY: 9700 block of Mill Run Drive, 03/10/19, 5:12 p.m. Homeowners found a rear window broken and there was evidence that people had been inside of the home. Nothing of value was taken due to the house being currently vacant.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

NARCOTICS VIOLATION: 8600 block of Whinneyford Court, 03/09/19, 11:49 p.m. Officers stopped a car after learning that the driver had an outstanding arrest warrant from a neighboring police department. A smell of narcotics was emanating from the car leading to a search where narcotics were discovered. The driver, Tyler Sonesamay, 26, of Bristow, was arrested for an outstanding hit and run warrant, possession with the intent to sell narcotics, possession with the intent to sell marijuana, possession with the intent to sell a controlled substance on school property (x2), possession of marijuana and possession of narcotics (x2).
