MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

STOLEN VEHICLE: 7300 block of Richmond Highway, 03/19/19, 3:49 a.m. Our officers found a stolen Honda Odyssey being driven on Richmond Highway. Officers stopped the car and the driver got out and ran away. After a short chase Deon McKory, 38, of Washington D.C., was arrested and charged with grand larceny. MASON DISTRICT STATION

SUSPICIOUS EVENT:  Pinecrest Vista Drive at Sand Wedge Court, 03/19/19, 4:20 p.m. A child was walking home from Columbia Elementary School when a red four-door car with dark tinted windows drove up to him. The driver asked him if he wanted a ride home, the child said no and ran home. Our officers checked the area, but the vehicle was not found. The driver was a white or Hispanic man in his 30s to 40s with a moustache.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY: 5900 block of King James Drive, 3/19/19. Homeowners returned to find a rear door broken and personal items missing.

ROBBERY: 6800 block of Oxpen Court, 3/19/19, 4:50 p.m. The victim was driving when she saw a woman with a dog who was defecating. The victim stopped and asked the woman if she planned on picking up her dog’s feces. The woman dismissed her remarks. The victim proceeded to park her car down the street and approached the woman to discuss the matter. The woman, identified as Misty Freeman, 38, of Alexandria, began recording the victim who in turn began recording her. Freeman knocked the victim’s phone from her hands and hit her on the back. Freeman picked up the victim’s phone and drove away. Officers were called to a home where the suspect was attempting to file a police report. The victim’s phone was found inside the residence and she was arrested for robbery.03202019, Mugshot - Freeman, Misty
