Updated Feb. 20: Join Arlington Public Schools for Virginia Preschool Initiative (VPI) Information Night on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019 from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at Carlin Springs Elementary School, 5995 Fifth Rd. South. This event has been rescheduled.
Parents will have the opportunity to learn about the VPI program, tour classrooms, learn how to apply, and receive information about the application process.
The Virginia Preschool Initiative is a high-quality pre-K program for four-year-old children at APS and is FREE to all eligible students. Children engage in enriching educational experiences, explore learning materials and new ideas, and build their skills as they prepare to enter kindergarten. The pre-K curriculum is research-based, fosters the development of literacy and math skills, and builds social-emotional foundations for lifetime learning. Each class has up to 18 children with a certified teacher and full-time instructional assistant. The program follows the elementary school schedule Monday through Friday.
Simultaneous Spanish-language interpretation will be provided for this event. There will also be Amharic, Arabic, and Mongolian interpreters available at this event.
For additional information or questions about this event, please contact Early Childhood Coordinator Elaine Perkins at 703-228-2762 or email@example.com.
