Police Seek Public’s Assistance Identifying Attempted Bank Robbery Suspect Captured in Surveillance Images

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Arlington County Police Department’s Homicide/Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance identifying an attempted bank robbery suspect captured in surveillance images.

At approximately 2:05 p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2019, an unknown male suspect entered the Capital One Bank located at 3532 Columbia Pike, passed the teller a note demanding money and displayed a handgun. The suspect fled the scene on foot without receiving any money.

The suspect is described as a black male, 20-30 years old, approximately 5’9” – 6’0” tall. He was wearing an orange construction hard hat, blue medical mask, sunglasses and dark clothing at the time of the incident.
