Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) Offense: 3000 Block of 23rd Street, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Saturday, February 9, 2019, in the 3000 block of 23rd Street, Southeast.

At approximately 3:16 pm, the suspect and the victim were involved in a verbal altercation at the listed location. During the altercation, the suspect brandished a handgun and fired at the victim. The suspect then fled the scene.

On Monday, February 11, 2019, 24-year-old Terrance Crutchfield, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
