Four people were killed in D.C. over the weekend.
Police are investigating a homicide that occurred on Sunday in the 800 block of Varnum Street, N.W. Police responding to a report of gunshots found 28-year-old James Lamont Stewart of Capitol Heights, Md., suffering from gunshot wounds. He died a short time later.
At about 3:24 am, police were called to the unit block of O St., N.W., where they found an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He died at a local hospital and has not yet been identified.
On Saturday, two bodies were found inside a home after a fire had been extinguished. The victims were identified as 60-year-old Joseph Burgess, of Southeast, and 50-year-old Regina Bowman, also of Southeast.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
