This is a news release from the Fairfax County Police Department, published verbatim.
A 12-year-old boy is facing charges following allegations he sexually assaulted two girls on a Fairfax County Public Schools bus.
The investigation began on November 13 when two students of Camelot Elementary School told their parents they had been sexually assaulted by a boy on school bus CA02. After an investigation by Fairfax County Police detectives, the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney for Fairfax County was briefed and petitions were obtained.
The youth has been charged with two counts of aggravated sexual battery and two counts of object sexual penetration. The petitions were served this morning and he was processed at the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center prior to being released to the custody of his parent.
