Russell Isaac, who is now 90 years old, was arrested Monday at his home in Bowie, Maryland. In the late 1960s Isaac headed the W.C. Moffett School in Barclay, Maryland, on the Eastern Shore.

His arrest follows an investigation that began in May 2016 when a woman came forward to report that she had been sexually assaulted when she was a 14-year-old student at the school. Maryland State Police investigators later found a second victim who claims to have also been assaulted by Isaac at the school. She was 15 at the time. Detectives say the sexual assaults occurred at the school between 1966 and 1968. They think there may have been other victims and the investigation is continuing.

Isaac has been charged with multiple counts of rape and associated sex offenses. He was being held at the Prince George’s County Detention Center.
