Five seriously injured in Rockville collision

Five people, four of them teens, were seriously injured in a Rockville collision Friday night. A sixth person suffered less serious injuries.

Montgomery County Police say that shortly before 7 p.m., a Ford Focus collided with a Ford van that was making a left turn from Westbury Road onto westbound Norbeck Road. After the collision, the Focus struck a brick sign structure.

The driver of the van, an adult male, suffered non-life-threatening injuries but the five occupants of the Ford Focus suffered critical injuries.

The Ford occupants included the teen-aged female driver and an adult female in the front seat and three teen-aged female in the back seat.
