Tropical Storm Michael is winding up and taking aim at the Florida Panhandle, possibly arriving there as a major hurricane late Wednesday or early Thursday.
After that, Michael could curve to the northeast and bring a brief period of torrential rain to Virginia by Thursday or Friday.
But forecasters say the storm should be moving quickly, so it’s not likely to bring a lengthy period of rain like the one that flooded parts of the Richmond area as Florence meandered along last month.
