Pedestrian injured in Loudoun accident

Virginia State Police are investigating an accident involving a pedestrian. It happened Monday at about 7:41 p.m. on westbound Route 7 at Potomac View Road in Loudoun County.

Police say a male pedestrian ran into moving traffic on Route 7 where he was struck by a westbound Chevrolet Tahoe. The man was flown to George Washington University Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

The Virginia State Police Crash Reconstruction Team responded to the scene to take measurements and investigate.

Charges are pending.
