VDOT modifies I-95 express lane hours to help Hurricane Florence evacuees

Drivers who are heading up I-95 to escape Hurricane Florence are getting a hand from VDOT. Highway officials are modifying the I-95 express lane schedule to help the flow of traffic moving north from the Carolinas and southestern Virginia.

Wednesday, September 12, the lane-reversal will begin at 8 p.m. and the express lanes are expected to be open to northbound traffic by 10 p.m. The express lanes will remain northbound until noon on Thursday.
