Three found dead in Herndon area home – UPDATED

Fairfax County detectives believe the deaths of a woman and two children whose bodies were found in a Herndon home Wednesday are a double murder and a suicide. The say it appears a 42-year-old woman shot the two youngsters and then shot herself. Names are not being released.


Detectives in Fairfax County are investigating the deaths of three people whose bodies were found in a house on Safa Street in Herndon Wednesday evening.

Investigators say the dead are a woman and two children and their preliminary investigation suggests their deaths are “domestic-related.”
