A second child has died after being shot in a McLean apartment last Sunday night.

One child died in the apartment in the 1500 block of Lincoln Circlem that night. The second died in the hospital Saturday morning.

Thirty-three year old Veronica Youngblood is suspected of shooting both children. She was arrested in Loudoun County, following the shootings, after an acquaintance called police. A firearm, believed to be involved, was recovered when Youngblood was arrested. Detectives are continuing their investigation into the events leading up to the shooting.

Virginia law prohibits police from providing information about juvenile victims unless parental consent is provided.
