Pedestrian stuck and killed in Annandale

Fairfax County police are investigating an accident that took the life of an Annandale man Tuesday morning.

Seventy-eight year old Ok Soon Kim was struck and killed as he tried to cross Columbia Pike at Gallows Road around 5 a.m. Crash reconstruction detectives say that Kim was crossing outside the crosswalk.

The driver of the car that struck Kim stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. They say neither speed nor alcohol appear to be factors in the crash. At this point, they say, no charges are expected.
