A clerk at the Sunoco station in the Franklin Farm Village Shopping Center in Herndon was killed early Wednesday morning during what detectives think was a robbery attempt.

It happened about 1:15 a.m. in the 13300 block of Franklin Farm Road. The victim, Resham Bajgain, 40, was found inside the station with blunt force trauma to his upper body. Officers arrested a suspect in the shopping center’s parking lot.

Detectives think their suspect approached several people in the shopping center during the incident and they’d like to hear from them.
