Threat found in bathroom at J.E.B. Stuart High School

Extra Fairfax County police officers will be at J.E.B. Stuart High School Friday following a threat found in a student bathroom Tuesday.

A police statement posted on Twitter Wednesday says the message, written in pencil, threatened violence at the school on Friday. The writer hasn’t yet been identified and investigators have been unable to determine whether the threat is valid. A picture, posted on Twitter, showed what appeared to be a towel dispenser on which “School shooting on Friday 8th of June. Prepare to Die” was written.

Police say the law enforcement presence at the school will be increased “out of an abundance of caution.” Police ask that anyone with information about the threat contact them or school officials.
