Man struck by VRE train in Woodbridge

A VRE train that struck a pedestrian at the Woodbridge station tied up southbound trains Monday evening for up to two hours.

VRE reports that Train 311 hit the person shortly before 6:30 p.m. That train was able to continue its trip after a two-hour delay.

Train 313 was delayed for one hour and Train 315 was running 40 minutes late.

There has been no immediate word on the condition of the person who was hit.
