Bank robbery photos released

Police in Fairfax County have released security camera photos of a man who robbed a bank in Alexandria Friday afternoon.

Detectives say the man showed a note to a teller at the Sun Trust Bank at 5922 Richmond Highway, indicated he had a gun and demanded money. He left the bank with cash. No one was hurt.

Police describe the bank robber as white, 40 to 50 years old, wearing a blue shirt with a tripod tie, a black stocking hat and a tan jacket. He had a band-aid on one side of his face.
