Fairfax teachers plan vigil for Florida victims

The school shootings in Parkland, Fla., are reverberating across the nation, with expressions of outrage and concern coming from parents, students and teachers. Locally, the Fairfax Education Association, with represents teachers in the Fairfax County Public Schools is planning a vigil prior to the county school board meeting tonight (Thursday).

The vigil will begin immediately before the  board meeting at Luther Jackson Middle School, 3020 Gallows Rd. Falls Church, VA 22042.

“Fairfax Education Association believes FCPS schools must be safe and secure for students and staff,” the organization said in an email to FairfaxNews.
