Great Falls crash – Two dead, one badly hurt

A man and a woman are dead and a teenage girl is seriously hurt following a Saturday night crash in Great Falls.

It happened around 7:00 p.m. on Beach Mill Road near the intersection with Spring Vale. Fairfax County police say the three were in a 2018 Infiniti Q50 that was traveling west on Beach Mill when it ran off the road to the right. The car then crossed back across the road and hit a tree on the other side.

The driver, 26-year-old, Benjamin Wenger, of Annandale, and a passenger, 23-year-old Abigail Ryan, of Great Falls, were pronounced dead on the scene. Another passenger, a 15-year-old female who was in the backseat, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

According to her Facebook page, Ryan was a graduate of Virginia Tech. She had started a new job in August, working for Marriott International in its Tysons Corner office.

Detectives from the Fairfax County police department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit are investigating the crash.
