Detectives are searching for the man who abducted and sexually assaulted a 5-year-old girl in the Alexandria area Sunday evening.

Family members noticed that the girl was missing around 5:00pm. She later returned and told them that she had been attacked in the 6700 block of Tower Drive.

Detectives are working with witnesses to gather as much information as possible about the suspect, who has only been described as a Hispanic male. If witnesses are able to provide enough information to create a useful composite sketch police say it will be shared with the public.
