The investigation of the April 20 murder of 77-year-old Cong Huu Nguyen, in his home in the Little River Glen Senior Retirement, has stretched to Vietnam.

Fairfax County detectives have identified a person who they think is the murderer. They say it’s someone who Nguyen knew well. They also say the suspect flew to Vietnam the day after Nguyen’s murder and was later found dead there.

Forensic examinations are underway to confirm the identity of the dead murder suspect and how that person died. Detectives are looking into the possibility that the motive for Nguyen’s murder involved financial gain.
