Great Falls crash kills woman

Fairfax County detectives continue to investigate a crash that took the life of a Great Falls woman Tuesday afternoon.

It happened around 3 p.m when a Honda Civic driven by 73-year old Mai-Huong Nguyen ran off Riverbend Road, stuck a utility pole near Mine Run Road and rolled onto its side. Nguyen was taken to Reston Hospital Center where she later died. No one else was in the car.

Detectives from the Crash Reconstruction Unit are looking into the possibility that Nguyen might have suffered a medical emergency, causing her to lose control of the car.
