Fairfax County detectives are trying to find who fired the bullet that wounded a woman in Chantilly Tuesday afternoon.

It happened around 4:00 p.m. as the woman was walking in the parking lot of the Chantilly Shopping Center. The bullet grazed the woman’s hand and police describe her injury as minor.

Police say the woman doesn’t appear to have been targeted and they call the incident a “reckless discharge” of a weapon. They’re now trying to determine who fired the gun and where.
