Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring has scheduled a town hall meeting at Dar Al-Hijrah in Falls Church tonight (Friday) to discuss President Trump’s attempts to restrict Muslim immigration.

On Jan. 31, Herring filed suit on behalf of the Commonwealth of Virginia to stop enforcement of President Trump’s original ban. On February 13, a federal judge in Virginia issued the nation’s first preliminary injunction against the ban, preventing enforcement of the ban against Virginia residents after finding that it was likely unconstitutional.

Following President Trump’s revised ban, Attorney General Herring filed an amicus brief in support of Hawaii’s request for a temporary restraining order preventing the enforcement of the ban, which was granted on Wednesday, March 15.

The town hall is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. at Dar Al-Hijrah, 3159 Row St., Falls Church.
