Camera crook caught on camera

Fairfax County police are still looking for the person who grabbed more than $70,000 in camera equipment from a store in Burke Centre Christmas day. Now they’re hoping that some just-released security camera shots may help them nab the camera thief.

It happened at the District Camera and Imaging store at 6025 Burke Centre Parkway.Surveillance video captured images of the suspect entering the store two times.

The suspect is described as black, around 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches, and about 170 to 190 pounds. He entered the business twice during the night wearing distinctive clothing,  including Puma workout pants with knee pads, military style boots, a Nike shirt, and an armored motorcycle jacket. Additionally, during the initial entry, the suspect was wearing a dark motorcycle full face helmet with flames. The second time he entered, he had a plaid winter hat with flaps and a scarf covering his face.
