SoberRide returns for holidays

If you’ve been drinking over the next couple of weeks, don’t drive home…call a cab.

The Washington Regional Alcohol Program’s SoberRide is back through January 1st.  Free cab rides, up to $30.00, are being offered between 10:00pm and 6:00am each night.

To call that cab call 800-200-TAXI (800-200-8294). AT&T customers can dial #WRAP from their wireless phones.  You MUST use that phone number.  Don’t call a cab company directly.

You must be 21 or older to use the SoberRide service. All calls must originate in Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties in Maryland; the Cities of Rockville, Bowie, College Park, Gaithersburg, Greenbelt and Takoma Park in Maryland; the District of Columbia; Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William and Eastern Loudoun Counties in Virginia; and the Cities of Alexandria, Falls Church, Fairfax, Manassas and Manassas Park in Virginia.

The SoberRide service has been giving holiday lifts home since 1991. Over 65,385 rides have been dispatched.
