A 57-year-old man died early Friday after being struck by a car on Frye Road Thursday evening.

Fairfax County police report that David D. Baines of Alexandria was crossing Frye Road near the crosswalk when he was struck  by a car turning onto westbound Frye from southbound Richmond Highway shortly before 6:00pm.
