Man dies following Alexandria house fire

An 82 year-old man has died following an early Saturday evening fire in a home in the 3700 block of Logan Court in the Alexandria neighborhood of Fairfax County.

Firefighters found the man, unconscious, inside the house, which was filled with heavy smoke.  Despite the CPR efforts of paramedics, the man died on the way to the hospital.

Fire investigators have determined the fire started because of an electrical problem.
