Deaths in Springfield and Burke could be related

Burke death

Fairfax County homicide detectives are investigating two deaths they say seem to be related.

The death of a 22-year-old man whose body was found in his home in the 6400 hundred block of Blarney Stone Court in Springfield Thursday evening is being investigated as a homicide.  Detectives say Henok Yohannes had serious injuries to his upper body.

Police say another death, reported Friday afternoon in the 6500 block Cordwood Court in Burke, is considered suspicious. They say the death doesn’t appear to be random and it’s likely related to Thursday night’s homicide.

Fairfax County police urge anyone with information about either death to contact them.
