Fire destroys large Great Falls home

Fairfax County Firefighters had their hands full fighting a blaze that gutted this home in the 1000 block of Northfalls Ct. in Great Falls.

The blaze broke out around 2:30 Sunday morning and when the first fire units arrived the fire was burning fiercely.

There are no reports of injuries.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Falls Church fire

Fairfax Fire-Rescue crews also battled a fire shortly after dawn Sunday in a home in the 6300 block of Villa Lane in Falls Church.  The Red Cross is helping to relocate the people who lived in the house.
