Early morning murder in Alexandria area

An Alexandria man is in custody following the murder of his wife early Monday morning.

Ricardo Molino-Martinez, who is in his late 40’s, is accused of fatally stabbing his wife, 35 year old Yesenia Membrano-Diaz.  The assault happened a little before 5:00am in the 8400 block of Diablo Court in the Alexandria area of Fairfax County.  A witness who says she heard screaming and saw a woman lying on the ground alerted police to the crime.

A report of screaming and a woman on the ground brought police to the 8400 block of Diablo Court in the Alexandria section of Fairfax County around 4:50 Monday morning.

They arrived to find the woman dead, with trauma to her upper body.
