Metro Plans Silver Line Open Houses

silver-lineMetro will host three open houses next week to share information with customers and residents about the Silver Line, which is scheduled to open later this year.  At each event, participants will be able to view information exhibits, ask questions of Metro representatives, and learn about changes to Metrorail and Metrobus service as a result of the new line.

The Silver Line Phase I extension is an 11-mile, five-station line that is currently under construction by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.  Once completed, the new line will serve Tysons and Reston and provide a transfer-free ride to and from Downtown DC.

Silver Line trains will operate between Wiehle Avenue Station in Reston and Largo Town Center in Largo, Md.
