Reports say Intelsat S.A. will be moving from D.C. to Tysons, with  support from Virginia and Fairfax County. The Luxembourg-based satellite provider is expected to lease space in Macerich‘s 22-story Tysons Tower, according to the Washington Business Journal.

The Journal said Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell is expected to announce the deal next week.

Macerich is looking to fill more than 524,000 square feet in the tower that’s now being built at 7900 Tysons One Place, next door to Tysons Corner Center. Intelsat is expected to take nearly 200,000 square feet,

If the deal comes off as planned, it will be the latest coup for Fairfax and Virginia, which have been working aggressively to recruit companies from around the region and the country.
