Road Rage Incident in Manassas Park

A 34-year-old Manassas Park man was arrested Thursday after what appeared to be a road rage incident got out of control.

Police said they received a 911 call reporting two vehicles driving recklessly. It appeared a blue Ford Focus was being chased by a red Toyota Tundra.  A call was then received from the driver of the Ford who advised he was chased by the Toyota which had struck his vehicle several times.

Police responded and arrested Juan William Alvarado, age 34, of Peakwood Court for the following charges:

  • Attempted Malicious Wounding
  • Brandishing Machete
  • Destruction of Property (M)
  • Hit & Run (M)
  • Reckless Driving

Police said the driver of the Ford was shaken but not physically injured.
