Gunman Assaults Women in Dumfries Area

Prince William County Police are looking for a man who they say accosted three young women at gunpoint Thursday in the Dumfries area.

The women, ages 21, 17 and 15, were walked along Fuller Heights Road near the intersection with Mockingbird Heights Road when the man stopped them at gunpoint and tried to rob them. He briefly abducted one of the women and assaulted her but fled on foot as police arrived.

The suspect is described as black, light to medium complexion, 5’ 8” to 5’ 10” in height, 18 – 25 years of age, wearing a large dark colored hooded sweatshirt and dark-colored faded baggy jeans and a bandana or ski mask obstructing a portion of his face. He was armed with what appeared to be a black and silver handgun.
