Dale City Man Dragged By Vehicle On I-95

Virginia State Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a vehicle that dragged a Dale City man up Interstate 95 last (Thursday, May 31) evening.

At approximately 6:50 PM, a dark, late-model sedan was traveling north on I-95 when, according to witnesses, the back passenger-side door opened and a man fell out near the 156 mile marker. The vehicle then dragged the man for more than 200 feet before he dropped onto the roadway. The vehicle continued north on I-95.

The victim, a 35-year-old Dale City male, was flown to Inova Fairfax Hospital. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

State police are still trying to determine if the man was thrown or jumped from the moving vehicle. The incident remains under investigation.

The suspect vehicle was a dark, late-model sedan with two black males and one white male inside.
